How It Works

How It Works: a clear process from the first call forward.

Advocacy should reduce confusion, not add to it. John explains the scope, expectations, and fees before you decide to proceed.

01

Start with a private conversation

Call John or send a consultation request. You can describe the immediate concern without sharing sensitive medical details through the website.

02

Decide whether advocacy is a fit

John listens, asks a few practical questions, and explains whether his experience and availability match the situation.

03

Complete the initial consultation

The required initial consultation is four hours, costs $800 total, and is paid in advance before it occurs.

04

Gather and organize

Depending on the engagement, John may help create a timeline, organize records, prepare questions, or plan for an upcoming conversation.

05

Advocate and communicate

John works with you and, when authorized in writing or through provider-accepted verbal permission for a specific conversation, communicates collaboratively with relevant care professionals.

06

Review next steps

You receive a clear understanding of what was discussed, what remains open, and who is responsible for each agreed follow-up.

What to expect

Direct communication and a defined scope.

John tells you what he can do, what he cannot do, and when another qualified professional is the right person to address a concern.

Before work begins, confirm:

  • The priorities for the engagement
  • Which tasks are included
  • How John will communicate with you
  • The applicable fees, 30-minute billing increments, and payment expectations
  • Any records, written HIPAA authorization, or provider-accepted verbal permission needed

A calm first conversation

You do not have to navigate this alone.

Tell John what is happening. He will listen, explain whether advocacy may be a fit, and outline a clear next step.
